Death In Gaza (Emmy-Award winning 2004 Documentary Film)

Death In Gaza is an Emmy-award winning 2004 documentary film about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, opening in the West Bank but then moving to Gaza and eventually settling in Rafah where the film spends most of its time. It concentrates on 3 children, Ahmed (age 12), Mohammed (age 12) and Najla (age 16).

While filming this movie, Producer / Director James Miller was killed by an Israeli tank. He was considered a martyr to the Palestinians and they waved his picture in the streets. Miller's death came about after he and fellow crew members were attempting to approach an Israeli APC at night time, audibly and visibly suggesting their neutrality as journalists by wearing helmets and flak vests marked "TV", waving a white flag and walking slowly in the open. A first warning shot was fired by an Israeli tank, and a crew member reaffirmed their neutrality by yelling "We are British journalists". Seconds later, another shot was fired and hit Miller in the neck, killing him instantly. This occurred while the crew was filming military activity from one of the children homes in Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

National Geographic:Inside Mecca

This documentary made by National Geographic is interesting, true to life and informative. The plot is based on the stories of 3 people traveling to Mecca to perform hajj. Preparations, troubles and religious insights of the Muslim professor from the States, black journalist from South Africa, and the businessman from Malaysia are disclosed during their journey to Mecca and their actions in Mecca. It was interesting to find some facts about the city, religious rituals. Racial problem. In one episode the black man even in Mecca suffers because of his color in Mecca in the tent of his countrymen, therefore he decides to leave it. Also it was interesting to see satellite photos, religious Western paintings associated with famous religious figures associated with Mecca, also comments by the religious which were used in this movie.

Selamat Bercuti

InsyaAllah.esok aku akan balik umah.hehehe.ikut plan asal 1hb Disember,tap atas2 sebab yang tertentu,aku ubah plan.aku xsabar nak balik umah.esok nak jumpa 'my girl'.harap2 jadi la.nak relax kn diri dan minda.lagi satu rindu kt PC aku yang dah dihantar jumaat lepas atas pertolongan member sekampung aku.thanx Wan.nak tengok movie yang aku rembat ber'gig2' dari amar.xsabar gak nak tengok performance team Malaysia kat AFF Suzuki Cup yang stat 5hb.harap Malaysia leh menang la kan.leh nya.nak tengok MTV dan Channel V puas2 sebab aku baru tukar pakej astro umah aku tu.hehehe.aku xsabar tunggu 19hb sebab mak abah aku balik dari Haji.horey!!.before tu,13hb aku akan pergi Bukit Jalil,wakil u aku untuk pembukaan SUA(sukan universiti ASEAN).aku hanya memenuhi kuota yang kosong je.dpt insentif menarik,aku pun pergi je la.enjoy2 kan.harap cuti kali ni akan memberi ketenangan untuk menghadapi sem depan plak.amin.sepanjang cuti ni,blog ni xterusik la.ok.selamat bercuti kepada semua.enjoy ur holiday k.ada rezeki jumpa lagi sem depan.Salam.

Credit to redmummy.selepas baca post blog dia.aku tertarik ngan kisah ni.based on true story,seorang bapa dan dan seorang anak yang menggelarkan mereka ni Team Hoyt.ini maklumat dari wikipedia:

Team Hoyt is a father (Dick Hoyt) and son (Rick Hoyt, b. 1962) in Massachusetts who compete together in marathons, triathlons, and other athletic endeavors. Rick has cerebral palsy, caused by loss of oxygen to his brain at birth because his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. Dick pulls him in a special boat as they swim, carries him in a special seat up front as they bike, and pushes him in a special wheelchair as they run.


Thanks to his parents, who ignored the advice of doctors that he would live life in a persistent vegetative state, and Tufts University engineers, who recognized that his sense of humor indicated intelligence, at the age of 12, Rick was able to learn how to use a special computer to communicate, using movements from his head. The first words he typed were, "Go Bruins!", and the family learned he was a sports fan. They entered their first race in 1977, a 5 mile benefit run for an injured lacrosse player who was a schoolmate of Rick's.


Dick is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard. Rick earned a college degree from Boston University in special education, and now works at Boston College. They continue to compete in races, and are also motivational speakers.


As of August 31, 2008, Team Hoyt had participated in a total of 984 events, including 229 Triathlons (6 of which were Ironman competitions), 20 Duathlons, and 66 Marathons, including 26 Boston Marathons.[1] They have also biked and run across the USA, in 1992 — a 3,735 mile journey that took them 45 days.


When asked what one thing Rick wished he could give his father, his reply was "The thing I'd most like is that my dad would sit in the chair and I would push him once."




mungkin mak ayah kita tak dapat lari marathon sama dengan kita,berkongsi minat sukan yang sama,tapi apa yang mak ayah kita lakukan selama ini dari kita kecik sampai la sekarang setanding dengan kisah kat atas tadi.malah mungkin lebih dari tu lagi.susah mana pun,mak ayah kita usaha gak cari duit utk beli pakai makan minum kat kita adik beradik.setuju?sayangilah mak ayah kita selagi ada,bagi yang dah tiada,sedekah Al Fatihah.
